MAGIX AG takes over yellow tools – expert for software samplers

- The manufacturer of audio technology and virtual instruments is now operated under the umbrella of the market leader for multimedia software

Berlin, 18 July 2011 – Berlin-based MAGIX AG, well-known for its consumer and professional software, has acquired all rights to the technology and products of yellow tools – major manufacturer of software sampler technology and virtual instruments based in Karlsruhe. With its long-standing experience and successful company strategy, MAGIX considers yellow tools, which was founded in 1999, to be the perfect partner for expanding its consumer and pro audio sector.

Jürgen Jaron, CEO of MAGIX AG, says, "We are very pleased that our productive cooperation with yellow tools has now culminated in such a successful outcome. In addition to acquiring its technology, we will integrate the entire yellow tools team into our newly founded MAGIX Audio GmbH. The sounds produced by yellow tools meet the high standards applied by MAGIX in producing its software. Users in the consumer and pro audio sectors will benefit from this cooperation in upcoming releases."

Both companies have cooperated closely in the audio sector for the past four years. This has given rise to a common base, which can now be used to develop efficient workflows. In 2006, MAGIX and yellow tools launched VITA 1 in Samplitude, MAGIX Music Maker, and MAGIX Music Studio. The second generation of VITA instruments followed in 2010 for MAGIX Music Maker and MAGIX Music Studio.

Engine 2.0.1 is a Service Update that comes with following changes and improvements:

The free Engine 2.0.1 software update is recommended to all Engine users.

Klanghaus - as a musician, composer and artist, the producer Ferdinand Försch has been inventing and constructing new musical instruments, sound sculptures and installations since 1982. So far, he has developed over a hundred musical instruments (metal drums, string instruments and combinations, sound images, drum- and sound walls and sound machines), building them from a wide range of materials right up to scrap.
In 1997 he founded the ‘KLANGHAUS‘ in Hamburg, Germany, as an experimental forum for concerts, exhibitions and interdisciplinary performances. After 30 years of building musical instruments he has decided to open the doors further and pass on his sound work as a virtual instrument resulting in the KLANGHAUS Library powered by the “Engine” sampler!

Relocation of activation servers

UPDATE: The server reloaction was finished successfully and the Online Activation Service now works again.

Due to the relocation of yellow tools servers to new hardware the online activation of yellow tools and Engine products is currently not available.
For this reason any activations can only get managed manually until further notice.
Please send an email including your serial number and product code with the subject "manual product activation" to "support(a)yellowtools.com". You will receive your response code during a few hours. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working on the server relocation as fast as we can to offer the online activation service to you as soon as possible.
